Village President, Two Trustee Seats, Municipal Judge Up For Re-Election

Four village officials will be up for re-election in Greendale this spring.

Two Greendale village trustees, the village president and the municipal judge will all be up for election in the spring of 2012.

The Village of Greendale has announced it will hold the election on Tuesday, April 3.

Incumbent trustees Sally Chadwick and Alan Sikorski, Village President John Hermes and Municipal Judge Mark Kapocius will all be up for re-election.

Hermes, Kapocious and Chadwick confirmed to Patch that they intend to run again for another term. Trustee terms are also for three years, while the municipal judge's term is for two years. Patch was unable to reach Sikorski.

Persons interested in running for any of the offices should be aware the first day to circulate nomination papers is Thursday, December 1, 2011, and the final day for filing nomination papers is no later than 5:00 PM, on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, in the office of the Village Clerk.

Incumbents must give notice by December 23 if they do not plan to run for re-election.

If a primary is necessary, it will be held on February 21, 2012.
