Woman Accused of Using Young Niece to Steal a Phone
Greendale police say a Milwaukee woman, 17, had her young niece take a cell phone from a Southridge Mall store and was later arrested with other stolen goods.
A Milwaukee woman is accused of using her young niece to steal an employee's cell phone from Southridge Mall.
Triscilla T. Beckworth, 17, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of theft. If convicted, she faces up to nine months in prison and $1,000 in fines.

On Oct. 14, a manager at US Cellular inside Southridge saw Beckworth direct a young child to take an employee's cell phone, which was valued at $600.
The child took the cell phone and the two left the store. Beckworth later went to activate the phone and was then arrested by Greendale police officers. Beckworth told officers her niece took the phone from the store. At the time of the arrest, Beckworth was also carrying a large amount of stolen clothes from Aeropostale and stolen merchandise from Party City. She also has a pending retail theft case open in Waukesha County. Beckworth is out of custody and a warrant has been issued for her arrest.
