Woman Caught Shoplifting From Kohl's With Meth in Her Purse

A 25-year-old Brown Deer woman is facing felony drug charges after she was caught shoplifting in Greendale with methamphetamine in her purse.

According to the criminal complaint, on Oct. 17, Greendale police were called to after personnel there had caught a woman shoplifting from the store.

While talking with the woman an officer searched a purse next to her and discovered it had meth and a pipe inside. She told officers it wasn’t her purse, but the officer noticed several pieces of mail addressed to her within it.

She finally admitted to having the drug and having smoked it, but said she thought it was crack cocaine.

Edwards will make her initial appearance in court Dec. 13.
