100 MPH Drunk Driver Stopped On Milwaukee High-Rise Bridge

The driver reportedly blew past a Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputy. When stopped, she said she had one beer only.

MILWAUKEE, WI β€” Thursday night just before midnight, a Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputy followed a vehicle that sped past him on I-43 northbound near W. Holt Avenue, until the driver eventually stopped on the High Rise bridge.

According to authorities, her vehicle was traveling over 100 miles per hour, frequently deviating from lane of traffic The driver, Sheila Liebergen, age 51, of Milwaukee, stated she had one beer at her daughter’s house, but tested .12 on a preliminary breath test. Liebergen was arrested for DUI-4th offense, a felony charge in Wisconsin.

Her previous convictions were in April 1996, April 1998 and October 2002. If convicted of this fourth offense, she faces up to six years in prison.
