Identified: 20-Year-Old Who Jumped to His Death on I-43

MILWAUKEE, WI — Authorities recovered the body of a 20-year-old man after he reportedly jumped from the side of I-43 - an elevated stretch of freeway near the Marquette Interchange.

On Thursday, the person who jumped to his tragic death has been identified as Felipe Reynaldo Marinez, age 20, of Milwaukee.

On Sunday, July 16, at about 10:40 a.m., according to an eyewitnesses, a man stopped his vehicle on the east side of northbound I-43 just before the Marquette interchange, got out and jumped over the side of the overpass.

His body was recovered from 10th and Canal Street.

A 20-year-old Milwaukee man was pronounced dead at the scene. Sheriff’s detectives are conducting the death investigation.
