2019 Memorial Day: Greenfield's Dan Jansen Fest Schedule

GREENFIELD, WI — Memorial Day is Monday, May 27. For some, Memorial Day is an extra day off of work filled with family gatherings, an outdoor celebration or a chance to get that garden or landscaping work done.

But for all of us, Memorial Day is exactly that, a day set aside to honor the memories of friends, family and loved ones who lost their lives serving our country in the armed forces.

In Greenfield, the Memorial Day weekend means it's time for the annual Dan Jansen Family Fest. In its 25th year, this four-day family-friendly celebration features, music, rides, games, food and a chance to get together to celebrate the start of summer.

Dan Jansen Family Fest, Inc. uses all of the proceeds raised by the festival each year to fund projects for the City of Greenfield Parks Department. Projects have included: Dan Jansen Park, Konkel Park Maintenance Facility, Greenfield Police K9 Officer DJ, the Konkel Park Reader Board, the Legacy Fountain at Bicentennial Park, and a $150,000 donation to the Park and Recreation Community Center.
