This special evening of celebrating community and caring will raise funds for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Aurora West Allis Medical Center supporting the needs of the tiniest most vulnerable patients and their families. Last year, the Aurora Women’s Pavilion delivered over 3,600 infants including
370 special needs and premature babies cared for in the NICU. This level III
NICU provides unparalleled care and attention to increasing numbers of premature
infants and those facing other health risks.
The event will strengthen NICU services by helping purcahse: state-of-the-art incubators; establishing a "breast milk
depot" to increase the supply of nutrient-rich milk; and add a new family coach to help
families prepare for and cope with the demands of a premature infant.
