7 Years for Stealing Cars, Shooting Windows at Mitchell International Airport
Greenfield police officers found the man driving a vehicle that had been reported stolen from Mitchell Airport earlier in 2016.

Milwaukee, WI – An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was sentenced to seven years prison after shooting car windows and stealing vehicles at Mitchell International Airport in early 2016.
Judge Christopher Dee sentenced Paris M. Chambers, age 18, of Milwaukee, to seven years in Wisconsin State Prison, followed by 10 years of extended supervision during his court hearing on Aug. 17.
The case gained widespread attention earlier this year, when 58 vehicles had windows shot out and possessions stolen while parked at the General Mitchell International Airport garage between January 30 and February 3. Catching the subjects was hampered by non-functioning video cameras at the exits.

Subsequent to Sheriff Clarke highlighting the lack of video surveillance as a homeland security issue, airport operations is installing expanded video surveillance throughout the airport. Sheriff Clarke said, "This incident served to heighten a sense of urgency about improving security at Mitchell International Airport that I had brought to their attention several times in the past. It's too bad that it was at the expense of the victims of these serious crimes."
