Arrests After Pursuit + Stolen Hotdog + Citation After Crash: Police

Here's a look back at noteworthy call logs from the Greenfield Police Department for April 18-Sunday.

GREENFIELD, WI — A police pursuit of a vehicle on 27th Street in the early morning of April 19 ended near Oklahoma Avenue, but two people were arrested after police located the suspect vehicle at its owner's registered address, according to the latest logs from the Greenfield Police Department.

One person was arrested for obstructing while the other was arrested on charges of felony eluding, logs say.

  • A resident on the 3100 block of American Drive told police he saw people trying to break into a Kia around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, logs say. The vehicle the people arrived in was reported stolen by Oak Creek police.
  • A woman on the 4200 block of 89th Street told police on Thursday she has been having issues with a porcupine in her yard and letting her dog out, logs say. Police told the caller to let animal control know if the porcupine comes back.
  • A caller in the 5400 block of Forest Home Avenue told police on Thursday his sedan was stolen, but when he was on the call he spotted the car in the center of the road a block away without anyone sitting in it, according to logs. The person's car had actually slipped from gear, logs say.
  • An employee at a business on the 3700 block of 108th Street told police there was a raccoon in their building chewing on cords. The raccoon was still in the building and inside the walls after the employee called on Friday, and police told management to get in touch with animal control or the DNR, according to logs.
  • Someone was cited for operating while intoxicated and failure to maintain control of a vehicle after someone saw them in the median after they hit several construction cones Saturday around 1 a.m. near 60th Street and Allerton Avenue, according to police logs.
  • Someone was cited for operating while intoxicated after a three-car accident on Saturday around 6 p.m. near 84th Street and Coldspring Road, according to logs.
  • An employee of a business on the 4200 block of 60th Street told police a younger woman and an older man were stealing hotdogs and other food Sunday around 10 p.m., according to logs. The suspects were seen fleeing north on 60th Street.
