Board of Health Approves Public Health Grants

The grants will help the city address public health concerns like lead exposure, immunizations, maternal and child health. The Board also approved giving an Alverno College nursing student the opportunity to help in the the Health Department.

The Board of Health on Tuesday approved the acceptance of several grants from the Wisconsin Division of Public Health grant funds. They consisted of grants for lead, immunization, maternal and child health, radon, public health and cities readiness. 

Board members also voted in favor of a nursing educational affiliation agreement with Alverno College for the next academic year. The agreement allows the college to place a nursing student, interested in community health, in the .
