Alverno Falls At Vikings Clash, Trepp Makes All-Tournament Team

CHICAGO -- The Alverno College volleyball team was swept in its final two matches at North Park University's Vikings Clash Tournament on Saturday in Chicago.

Alverno (1-7) lost the morning match to Benedictine University, 3-0 (25-10, 25-9, 25-18), and then lost to MIT, 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 25-20), this afternoon.

The Inferno's Cali Trepp (Iron Mountain, Mich./Niagara) was named to the Vikings Cash All-Tournament Team for her performance in the four matches. The sophomore tallied 19 kills and 14 digs this weekend.

Alverno gets a rematch with Benedictine (7-1) on Tuesday, as it hosts the Eagles in its home and Northern Athletics Conference opener at 7 p.m. in Reiman Gymnasium.
