Alverno Runs To 7th Place Finish At UW-Oshkosh Open
The Alverno College cross country team ran to a seventh-place finish at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Open this afternoon at Lake Breeze Golf Club.
WINNECONNE, Wis. -- The Alverno College cross country team ran to a seventh-place finish at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Open this afternoon at Lake Breeze Golf Club.
Taylor Volbrecht was the top Inferno finisher, as she placed 45th with a time of 28:47.86 in the 6K race with a field of 59 individual competitors.
Abby Kennedy was 54th with a time of 31:34.67, followed by Abigail Kohal (37:34.20),Jeanette Alonso (41:45.29) and Lauren Colette (45:03.63).

The Inferno's team score of 194 was 33 points behind sixth-place Finlandia University. The University of Wisconsin won the seven-team event with a score of 15, as the Badgers placed all of their runners in the top seven spots.
Host UW-Oshkosh was the top Division III finisher -- second place overall -- with a team score of 57.

Alverno has just eight more days until the Northern Athletics Conference Championships at Concordia University Wisconsin on Saturday, Oct. 27.
