It is Better to Build

Consistent displays of excellence will cause some to step up/others will respond with jealousy & try to bring you down to their level.

EXCEL in consistent excellence anyway

It is so refreshing, when observing someone displaying/pursuing excellence in their life, to hear something to the effect of, "perhaps I should be trying a little harder myself." instead of a lame selfish critique.

Wouldn't it be awesome if that was the response of most - but it seems that in humanities fallen state... that the MORE common response is to try to tear a down.

Seems for some it is so much easier to tear down than lift up ...

Long ago - by brother in law - who was and is a tremendous carpenter - ( a very CHRIST like profession [building]) used to call me when there was a lil' demolition needed prior to a job he was going to do ...

I was very talented at TEARING WALLS DOWN - he was very good at PUTTING WALLS UP  -

So if your striving for your personal best - don't get to bent out of shape when those around you and even those closest to you seem to be more jealous than happy for you ... as you achieve excellence it'll cost ya... because you'll find that there were some in your life that really liked you alot better when they felt they were better than you or ahead of you somehow - but in your success or striving for it - they start to see what they may have been feeling all along - and that is somehow that YOU really ARE better than they are ...

• NEVER let someone else's wrong&poor self image define YOU

Don't let somebodies laziness or Jealousy speak direction into your life ...

(hope you don't mind me bring a really, really good example of this to you) 

While not everybody really likes CHRISTIANS... I've NEVER heard a credible argument against the EXCELLENCE of Jesus ... He served and loved with incredible excellence & over 2,000 years later HIS story is STILL transforming lives...

Undoubtably your quest for personal excellence will not cost the same as HIS cost HIM - HE certainly knew the reward was worth the COST - sure, EXCELLENCE will cost you - but the rewards to you and even to those that do NOT understand your ... "DRIVE" ... in the end the cost to the comprimizers will exceed the cost to those on a quest to FULLFILL there calling 2 be the BEST YOU that your creator created you to be...

strive to EXCEL in consistent excellence

laziness has its appeal - worse - it has it's advocates

so thankful for those in my church and in our community that have this consistant drive for excellence -

It drives me nuts when I see them attacked & I am striving to be one that is quick and ready with an encouraging word when they are ...

so my hope is that if in your life experiance - you see someone/hear someone ripping on sombody for the cause of their pursute ... do not assume that they don't need a pat on the back ... or a good word from you ... better to be remembered as an encourger / a BUILDER than a demolition man...
