Occasionally, customers have asked what kind of care is needed for a Peace Plant. This is a short description of How to care for Spathiphyllum: (also know as the Peace plant)
Keep soil very moist, water thoroughly and frequently, draining excess water. Soil should never dry out. Prefers a low light location, avoiding direct sun.
Place in a warm location, avoiding excessively hot and cold areas.
Set Plant on a saucer or dish to protect furniture from any water.
If the plant is in decorated foil, remove foil and check bottom of pot to see if roots are visible. If they are, find a pot at least one size larger and repot. Checking to make sure that the roots are not intertwined. If this problem is noticed, take a sharp knife or scissors and place 4 cuts evenly around the plant to allow for better air circulation. (one cut at what would be the 4 corners, if the plant was squared)
