MILWAUKEE -- A Concordia University Chicago goal in the 58th minute broke a 1-1 tie and the visiting Cougars pulled out a 2-1 victory over host Alverno College this afternoon.
After Alverno (2-7, 0-6 Northern Athletics Conference) gave up goal in the 5th minute to the Cougars' Hillary Campbell, it trailed for the next 48 minutes until Andrea Bowhallfound Bryanna Gayle on a throw-in and Gayle's shot from about seven yards out found the top-right corner of the net which evened the game at one apiece.
The Inferno finished the game with an eight-to-seven shot advantage, and looked like they were in control, but the Cougars' (3-4, 1-4 NAC) Anne Rockert shot the ball past goalkeeper Samantha Robinson after a muffed stop for the game-winner in the 58th minute.

Alverno hosts another home game this Sunday versus Finlandia University in nonconference action. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
