Gardening in Greenfield

Gardening has so many life lessons in it. It requires patience, work and faith.

Gardening in Greenfield

Don’t know about you – but I’m LOVING all of this hot weather –

Us Wisconsin folks always look so forward to summer. It always freaks me out to hear people complain about the heat. It’s like, HOW SHORT of a short-term memory must you have? Don’t you know that if you hang out for, what will seem like just a couple of days it’ll be freezing again…

Cindy, my wife, makes sure my life insurance is paid up (ha!) then sends me out to work in “our” garden.

It is amazing how this works though… and I have actually learned to love the process

… a bunch of work, a lil’ sweat, add a bit of water & wait…

The BEST SALSA in the world – it is wonderful what the right amount of foresight mixed with a lil’ patience can earn …

IT does take a great deal of patience, work & faith… & it is a HUGE investment of FAITH –

I met one of our Patch Bloggers the other day. Matter of fact Melinda Meyers and I both won gift cards after a drawing & a couple of questions at a Patch party that I was fortunate enough to have been invited by David Cotey (our Patch editor & chief -- thanks DAVE)

I don’t think I ever had a chance to tell Melinda that we are really in much the same business.

Oh, sure it looks a lot different to the casual observer – but really, we all are in the Gardening Business.

Every Parent, every Pastor,

Every Physician, every Pharmacist

Every Practitioner of Physical Therapy

We are ALL in the Business of GARDENING

even if your Personal Position doesn’t start with the letter “P”

My daughter got married 2 weeks ago.

The next day she moved to (what I hear is) the Beautiful Garden Island of Kauai, Hawaii.

It took a GREAT deal of Patience, a whole lot of Work & oh, ever so much FAITH to wait & watch for her to grow into the young lady that she was when … I, one of the primary gardeners in her life, was privileged to walk with her the last few steps where there waited another man for my daughter's hand and what may be best described as 1 of 2 of the best of my life’s/my wife’s and my GARDEN.

You know, one day, Jesus was mistaken for a Gardener

Greenfield is a WONDERFUL place to Garden.

& you can grow AMAZING things here –

It will, of course, require a GREAT deal of Patience, a whole lot of Work & oh, ever so much FAITH to wait & to watch. But with this simple, tried and true method – you too can enjoy watching the Best in YOUR life’s garden grow into even better than you had hoped.

In another Garden quite some time ago – the first directive ever given to man was to “be fruitful & multiply.” (in other words - it may be good to get a JOB before one starts MULTIPLYING - more on that some other time perhaps)

I’m thinking that this might have something to do with the GREAT Satisfaction that comes from Gardening.

Gardening in Greenfield really can bring some of the greatest of this life’s joys…
