Greenfield Holiday Lights Contest Kicks-Off Next Week

It’s that time of the year again! Pull out the lights and ornaments and decorate your home for the coming holiday season. It’s also the time for our annual Holiday Lights Contest sponsored by the Greenfield Beautification Committee.

This year marks the 14th consecutive year of the Lights Contest. Each year Committee judges select the three homes with the best outdoor decorations as Holiday Lights Contest Winners. The area judged alternates from east to west each year. This year we will judge the eastern half of Greenfield (east of 76th St.). No entry forms are needed as the judges will drive the area and pick the winners.

Judging will begin Dec. 6, so have your decorations up and lighted by then. Homes will be selected based on a balanced, creative design with appropriate lighting and appealing accents and structures. Winners receive a framed award certificate and will be announced here on the Patch and on the committee website.
