The annual Greenfield Arbor Day Celebration, the city’s biggest beautification project, is set to take place Saturday, May 4. Join the Greenfield Beautification Committee in helping to improve the Konkel Park South area. This is a continuing development of the park on Layton Avenue and features a new shelter, playground, walking trail and nature area.

The Committee is now raising funds for the park through its annual “Adopt a Tree” program. You can contribute to adopt a tree for $195 or lesser amounts if you desire. Groups will often get together to adopt one tree and some folks contribute to a “memorial” tree to honor friends or family.

… and of course, all are invited to come to the park and help plant the trees. Bring a shovel and garden clothes and join the fun!
