Paratech Ambulance Service is State-Licensed in Critical Care Paramedic Services

Paratech Ambulance Service is the only Ambulance provider in Southeastern Wisconsin to transition to Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) Level.

According to Larry Knuth, Vice President of Operations at Paratech Ambulance Service, “We have specially trained our Paramedics to work beyond the standard Paramedic scope of practice, so Paratech is able to offer high-quality CCP services for Southeastern Wisconsin hospitals and other medical facilities when time is a factor.”  Knuth explains, “The Critical Care Paramedics have a broader understanding of what is going on with high acuity patients. They possess the knowledge and skills required to handle transporting critically-ill and injured patients from one health facility to another.”

“Critical Care Paramedic is the highest level of emergency medical care that can be provided by an ambulance service in the state," said Larry Knuth. “This upgrade will ensure that patients who have a critical illness or injury receive the most appropriate care during their transport.”

Paratech Ambulance Service Critical Care Paramedics’ state licenses include additional certifications in ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS. These additional medical certifications allow them to deliver an even higher level of care to you and your family when intensive care monitoring and concepts are necessary during transport.  Paratech’s own Community Training Center provides critical care training to our Paramedics.  According to Knuth, “Thirty-three Paramedics have already completed the on-site training and I expect more to finish by the end of the year.”
