Glenwood School is hosting a Textile Recycling Drive! This is a fundraising opportunity for the school. Milwaukee Textile Recycling will pay the school by the pound for textiles collected.

The used clothing industry provides lower income people around the world with affordable clothing, repurposes clothing that is damaged as wiping rags, and processes clothing and textiles not suitable for wiping purposes back into fibers that are then remanufactured into paper, yarn, insulation, carpet padding, sound proofing, etc.

Clothing
Good, clean clothing for men, women and children. Including:
• Shirts, Blouses, Suits
• Skirts, Pants, Shorts, Dresses
• Jackets, Coats, Warm-Ups
• Underwear, Bras, Slips, Pajamas
• Paired Socks, Paired Shoes
Will accept items with small tears, or that are lightly stained or worn.
Household Items
Clean household items:
• Sheets, Bedspreads, Blankets
• Curtains, Drapes
• Towels, Washcloths
It is important to keep all items dry so they do not become moldy and unusable. They should be collected in closed plastic bags.
