They have great shoes for first walkers through grade school in all sizes and widths.”

Tips for Back to School Shoe Shopping
According to Sajdak, who is also a certified pedorthist, “When you take your kids “back to school” shoe shopping, you should always have both their feet measured. At Stan’s all of our fit specialists are specially trained to fit kids feet so they are prepared for all their activities. Then, when they try on their new shoes, their toes should be approximately one inch or more way from the tip of their shoes. Also, I always tell parents to consider buying shoes with Velcro or laces so you can help to ensure a proper fit in the shoe’s width. Next, think about how the child’s shoes will be used, and then buy shoes which will meet the appropriate challenges of durability, breathability and comfort.”
The Stan’s Fit For Your Feet stores have been serving Greater Milwaukee for 62 years. Their Brookfield, Greenfield and Glendale are open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or Sundays from Noon to 5 p.m. From August 13 to August 31, customers will receive a $5 discount on every pair of kid’s shoes purchased (some restrictions apply), and a percentage of all “back to school” children’s shoe sales will be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
Stan’s is locally owned and operated, and specializes in quality footwear from around the world for children and adults. Its three stores are home to Wisconsin’s largest collection of regular and hard to find shoe sizes. For more information visit www.stansfootwear.com
