Thank You, Music Moms

Hopefully you've all had time to wish your mom a Happy Mother's Day. Whether it's your mother, father, stepmother, grandparent, relative or mentor, the role of mom is a special thing.

In putting together the Greenfield Concert Band, we've been fortunate to have many supporters, but none so diligent as our "music moms".

Whether they're our own mothers – who have dedicated so much of their free time over the years to shuttling us to rehearsals, bake sales, concerts and lessons – or our band moms – friends and music lovers who took time out of their own busy schedules to offer special encouragement, assistance and words of wisdom – these people have helped to lift our spirits and foster our love of music.

So thank you, music moms, for making that emergency run when we needed a new reed. Thank you for pinching pennies to send us to private lessons. Thank you for sitting through our very first concerts, and thank you for setting aside time for concerts yet to come.

But most of all, thank you for being there. We couldn't do it without you.
