Whitnall's Biggest Game of the Season Approaching
The Whitnall football team can accompish a lot with a win this Friday night.
The Whitnall Falcon football team's seniors have the biggest game of their lives coming up this Friday against Cudahy at the brand new Falcon Field for their homecoming.
Even though it is homecoming week, that is the least of the football teams concerns. With a win this Friday the Falcons can secure a spot in the WIAA playoffs and guarantee them with a conference title.
The team has been working hard since April for this season and this is the game where it could all pay off. It has been 12 years since the Whitnall Falcon football team has won a conference title and they want to be on “The Wall”, or the hallway at the high school displaying all of the teams that have won a conference title in the past more than anything.

“I finally feel like I’ve accomplished something in a large scale for Falcon football, and that all of my hard work has finally paid off," a senior on the team said.
But that isn’t the only thing they accomplish with a win this Friday against Cudahy, they could also guarantee a spot in the WIAA playoffs. Having not made the playoffs last year, the team is really striving to make a run this year.

“I feel like we have a good chance of winning this week, and it would be awesome to have a playoff game to attend, especially if it was at Falcon Field,” said a Whitnall senior football fan.
This year has been completely different for the Falcons. The school went through a $6.2 million renovation including a brand new Falcon Field, which features the same artificial turf as Cowboys Stadium in Dallas. Whitnall is one of the few stadiums across the country to feature the latest in artificial turf technology. Along with the brand new state-of-the-art football field, the team has been wearing some of Nike’s highest quality jerseys that seem to be doing the trick considering the Falcons record this year is 5-2.
Besides the new and improved stadium, the Whitnall Falcon football team has a new head coach in Jeff Wallack. Wallack brought over a few of his assistant coaches from Hamilton high school (Milwaukee) to help him take on this new project. But that isn’t all that he brought over, he also brought over a coaching method much different from what the team was used to. He worked the team hard since day one, having the team come into school an hour early to work out before school since April. And he didn’t stop there; the team would end every practice with a 30-minute conditioning period.
All of this hard work has really paid off for the Falcons so far this year. Now, all they have left to do is put it to use this Friday night against Cudahy. With it being homecoming night they will have a huge fan base and do everything they can to come out victorious this Friday night.
