Wilmore Becomes First Alverno Player Named To NFCA All-Region Team

Wilmore (Elkhart, Ind./Central) was selected as the top catcher on the NFCA All-Great Lakes Region Second Team.
Alverno's all-time hits leader helped the Inferno (18-18) to the first .500-season in school history, as the team set the school record for wins for the second-straight season.

Also an All-Northern Athletics Conference First Team selection, Wilmore ended the season as the top hitter in the conference with a .491 batting average, which ranks 19th nationally in the most recent NCAA statistics report. Likewise, she had the NAC's top on-base percentage (.565), slugging percentage (.935) and hit a league-high 17 doubles to become the NAC's all-time leader with 54 in her four-year career. Her slugging percentage currently ranks seventh in NCAA Division III, and she is 10th in doubles per game.
Wilmore's nine home runs ranked fourth in the conference, while her 45 RBIs were third in the NAC and 15th nationally per game. The senior's 53 hits were just two away from the league-lead.

She amassed a 20-game hit streak that set a school record, and was just three away from the NAC's all-time mark. Wilmore was named NAC Position Player of the Week twice this season.
Defensively she committed just two errors for a .989 fielding percentage, threw out 10 base runners attempting to steal and picked off one.
