Brothers Have Camped Out In Front of Greenfield's Best Buy Since Tuesday

We dare you to cut in front of them.

Forget about attempting to be first in line at Greenfield's to take advantage of the Black Friday deals.

That spot, along with the one behind it, is currently being held by brothers Joe and John Butschi, who have been camped out in front of the big box retailer on 76th Street.

Since 2 p.m. Tuesday, to be exact.

The brothers are a group of a half dozen people camped out in front of Best Buy as of Wednesday evening. The pair said the campers have quickly formed a small community. When someone needs to use the bathroom or get a bite to eat, the others will guard their tents and gear.

The brothers are sacrificing Thanksgiving dinner to get the best deals on electronics. Right?

"No, mom is bringing it here for us," said Joe, a Greenfield resident.

And how about missing the Packer's game?

"No, we got a television out here," Joe said.

And what happens if someone attempts to cut in front of them?

"They are going to get their (butts) beat," the brothers said simultaneously as they laughed.

Store managers have allowed the men to come into the store and warm up if they get cold.

"When they got here this morning, they came and check on us," John said.

Joe said he will probably purchase a television and a laptop. The brothers, who are seasonal workers and electronic junkies, camp out every year in front of the Best Buy.

"It's getting earlier every year," said Joe. "We look for bargains for all year around."

Best Buy opens at 5 a.m. Friday.

"They made us feel like rocks stars last year; the entire store was clapping and cheering when we walked in," John said. "By 5:30, we were at Sears shopping for tools. By 7 o'clock, I was home in bed."
