Greenfield couple celebrating 70 years of marriage

Hi,

I'm the pastor of Elim Tabernacle in Greenfield, and I wanted to share a local story that I thought might be of interest to your viewers/readers.

On October 6, Manuel and Mary Rogers will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary. They met as students at Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul in the early 1950s, married in 1956, and have spent their lives together raising a family and serving others through ministry.

Manuel pastored Elim Tabernacle here in Greenfield for 27 years, with Mary serving alongside him. Today, they are still active in our church, still living independently, and enjoying a family that now includes 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren—with another on the way.

Their story has some wonderful moments—from a first date so cold that Mary decided there would never be a second, to Manuel still bringing her coffee in bed 70 years later.
