Christmas Eve Snow To Make Holiday Travel Slippery, Dangerous

The Christmas Eve snowfall could net between one to three inches before all is said and done. Here is today's travel outlook.

The National Weather Service is reporting that light snow and cold temperatures could lead to slick conditions on roads and sidewalks. If you have travel plans today, allow extra time to reach your destination, especially if you're heading south of the Wisconsin/Illinois border.

An area of light snow has overtaken southern Wisconsin, the NWS is reporting. This light snow will persist into the afternoon, eventually ending from west to east. Snowfall totals of one to two inches are expected across southern Wisconsin, with up to three inches possible near the state line.

Holiday travelers should be prepared to slow down and allow extra time to reach their destination later this morning and afternoon across southern and especially far southeastern Wisconsin including the Milwaukee to Kenosha urban corridor.
