Commercial Food Equipment Business Proposes Greenfield Location

GREENFIELD, WI — The Greenfield Common Council is set to hold a public hearing at its meeting Tuesday about an Illinois-based restaurant equipment supply business that has applied to open a location on Loomis Road.

City Food Equipment, which currently has a location in Lombard and Chicago, Illinois, sells commercial food equipment such as mixers, deli slicers, ranges, fryers and more, according to its website.

The business has applied to occupy a 16,400 square foot portion of a building at 534o West Loomis Road, city documents show. The business sells and services equipment ranging from kitchen plumbing, small ware, and commercial or manufacturing grade equipment for nearly every part of the food industry, according to City Food Equipment's website.

It was started in Chicago in 1985 and, besides the proposed Greenfield location, continues to expand through e-commerce, City Food Equipment's website said.

The Greenfield Common Council will hold a public hearing on the proposal on Tuesday. The meeting is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at Greenfield City Hall, 7325 West Forest Home Avenue.
