Common Council Approves New Names, New Operators, New Looks

Two Greenfield businesses will soon have new names.

All Phase Auto & Electric, an auto service business at 3320 W. Howard Avenue, will now be known as Tech-Way, after approval from the Common Council at Tuesday's meeting at City Hall.

Walid Tabara, the new lease holder and operator of the auto service center, told the Planning Commission that his business will do basic auto repair, but no auto body repair, and will focus on repairing and servicing automotive electrical systems.

In another name change approved by the Common Council,, 5442 W. Forest Home Ave., will now be known as P-Dee's Pizza, per the request of new operator Raymond Rodriguez.

Hours of operation for the pizza place will be Monday through Thursday, 3-10 p.m.; Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Common Council, per the Planning Commission's request, also approved a 14-foot high monument sign, 4 feet higher than the city's sign code maximum, to be erected at the new , 4455 S. 108th St., and approved exterior upgrades to Applebee's, 5100 S. 76th St.

Those upgrades include modifying the appearance of the main entrance, replacing the panel "Applebee's" sign and potentially planting trees on the 76th Street frontage and the Edgerton Avenue frontage.
