Coyote Pups Discovered Behind Greenfield Business

Brass Tap employees discovered the pups originally thinking they were dogs.

GREENFIELD β€” Employees at the Brass Tap were surprised to find four young pups behind their restaurant - only to find out they were not dogs, but actually coyotes.

According to a report from CBS 58, Brass Tap employees originally thought the tiny, fuzzy creatures were abandoned dogs, so they called the police. They reportedly brought the pups inside and put them in a box before discovering that they were, in fact, coyotes.

"We were shocked initially," Nick Marking, bar owner, said to CBS 58. "We all thought they were dogs and that they were gonna call animal control and put them there. And when they came back and said these are coyotes, everyone was quite shocked that they were coyotes."

According to Greenfield police, CBS 58 reported, it's not unusual for coyotes to nest in areas like this during this time of year.

The Coyotes pups' mom reportedly found them shortly after they were put outside and moved them to a different location.
