Do You Need the iPhone 4S?

Apple unveiled its new smartphone Tuesday.

It’s hard to say if you need to get in line outside the AT&T Store 4739 S. 76th Street just yet in order to get the new iPhone 4S later this month, but the improvements made to the newest version of the phone should make it a hot item.

Apple unveiled its new, more powerful version of the smartphone yesterday and announced it will go on sale Oct. 14.

Many were anticipating the announcement of both the iPhone 4S and the iPhone 5, but those expecting the second part of that equation will continue to wait.

But that doesn’t mean the iPhone 4S is just a quick remake of its predecessor. The iPhone 4S is expected to be faster and contain a superior camera, along with other technical advances, according to engadget.com.

According to the USA Today, another change Apple announced was the phone will be available from three major wireless providers: AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. The phone will also be available with three different hard drive sizes (for three different prices, of course).
