Documentary About The Turf Skatepark In The Works: Report
A new documentary about the history of Greenfield's Turf skatepark is on the way.
GREENFIELD, WI — Two friends from the Milwaukee area who skated at The Turf skatepark in Greenfield when it was still operational in the 1980s are making a documentary about the park's history, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
One of the filmmakers told the Journal Sentinel he plans on submitting the film, which would be named "Believe It" to streaming services such as Amazon, Hulu and Netflix. The documentary will include interviews with members of the skating community and historical imagery from The Turf park's past, the Journal Sentinel report said.

The news of a new documentary about the skatepark comes as the city is working to re-open the park to its former glory. Renderings of what the park's resurrection is set to look like were released by the city in June.
The renderings show a sprawling indoor and outdoor skatepark at 4239 West Loomis Road. Construction on the park could begin as early as spring 2022, a spokesperson from the City of Greenfield told Patch in June.
