Drunk Greenfield Driver Was Passed Out in Traffic

A 28-year-old Greenfield man was arrested for his fifth drunk driving charge after he passed out in his car in the middle of traffic.

MILWAUKEE -- A 28-year-old Greenfield man was arrested for his fifth drunk driving charge after he passed out in his car in the middle of traffic.

According to his criminal complaint, on Monday Oct. 31, Erick Milan was woken up by Milwaukee police officers after they observed Milan asleep in his 2008 Infiniti.

Milan's vehicle was running, and was blocking traffic at the intersection of S. 20th St. and W. Mangold Ave.

When police made contact with Milan, they woke him up and got him to turn the car off. Officers detected an odor of alcohol emitting from Milan, who admitted he had a few drinks, according to his criminal complaint.

According to his criminal complaint, he was conveyed to St. Luke's where he submitted to a blood test. That test stated his blood alcohol concentration was 0.217 - more than double the legal limit.

Milan was charged with OWI (5th or 6th) and Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Content (5th or 6th). Both are felony charges and he could face up to six years behind bars.
