Election 2011: Pam Sierzchulski, Greenfield School Board
Former president seeks to rejoin School Board.

Former Greenfield School Board president Pamela Sierzchulski, 7935 W. Cold Spring Rd., is hoping to reclaim a seat on the board, with the district’s budget weighing heavily on her mind.
“I believe [the biggest priority] is going to be dealing with the budget crisis that’s coming out of Madison and how it’s going to affect our public schools,” she said. “We don’t have a lot of information now, so it’s going to be analyzing information as it comes in.
“Cuts are going to be a lot deeper. I’m hoping it’s not staff and I’m hoping it’s not programs but until we get a lot more information, I don’t know what it’s going to be.

Sierzchulski said she feels what the board needs is out-of-the-box thinking and believes her previous board experience would be an asset.
“I have a good feel for what’s already been cut," she said. "We certainly don’t want to raise property taxes and we certainly don’t want to sacrifice education. You need the history. The history is going to be critical in figuring out what else we have to do.

”I had children go through system. I had the privilege of being an involved parent. I think that’s a valuable insight when you’re making decisions and trying to weigh what will work best."
