Election 2011: Thomas Pietrowski, Common Council

Pietrowski seeks reelection in only contested Common Council race.

District 2 Alderperson Thomas Pietrowski, 4801 S. 94th St., is seeking a fourth term, with a top priority of creating a comprehensive capital program.

“We don’t have a road program with dedicated monies. The maintenance program has no plan for funding into the future,” said Pietrowski, who is running against James Palmar.

He added that the budget also will be a high priority. He said, however, it’s difficult to address right now, since nothing has been finalized yet at the state level.

“I can’t make any recommendations until something is handed down to use that’s somewhat concrete,” he said.

Pietrowski said he feels he should be reelected because “I’ve been responsive to my constituency. I feel that if I’ve done my job, that’s all that’s necessary for me to be reelected.”
