Everything you do on a daily basis makes a difference in being able to live in health and balance. Because you are a unique individual, what you need to be healthy will be unique. Ayurveda, the 5,000-year old holistic health system, uses an energetic model to help you align your actions and make choices to create a healthy body and mind. This course will provide an overview of the Ayurvedic health model as well as teach you how to integrate it into your life along with various wellness tools so you enjoy vibrant energy, a healthy body, a calm mind and a fulfilled spirit.
The first class will focus on “Your Core Constitution: The Roadmap to Maintaining Health,” exploring your bio-chemical constitution or body type which provides insight into your natural tendencies, health challenges and what will generally create health in your body and mind. Class two will explore “Making Sense of your Symptoms” or cues from the bodymind that something is out of balance and creating problems. You will understand what your symptoms mean from the Ayurvedic perspective, what factors are creating the problem and what actions to take to correct the problem. Finally, discover “Creating New Habits without Sinking into Overwhelm.” Having a better idea of who you are and what your current wellness needs require, you can create daily and seasonal habits to keep your life forces and life in balance through conscious eating, seasonal shifts, anchor points of self-care and simple stress release tools.
