Falcons, Hawks Have Tough Week 2 Football Matchups

Before crosstown rivals Greenfield and Whitnall square off and christen the Falcons’ on Sept. 7, the teams take on Woodland Conference – West foes in important Week 2 match-ups.

The Falcons since winning the first give games of 2009 when they visit Wauwatosa West at 7 p.m. Friday. Whitnall has won the last four contests between the teams, but the Trojans (1-0) were 50-7 blowout winners over St. Francis in last week’s opener.

The Hustlin’ Hawks will be looking for their first win – and points – of 2012 following a 27-0 shutout at the hands of Pewaukee on Aug. 24. They host rival Greendale at 7 p.m. Friday.

The Panthers, considered by many the favorites to win the league’s West Division, opened with a 38-12 win over South Milwaukee behind Jake Zywicki’s 213 rushing yards.
