Later Friday, Whitnall allowed four runs in the third inning and that was all host Cedarburg needed in the Falcons' 4-3 road loss that dropped them to 9-5 overall.
Whitnall made it close with three runs in the fifth on Geoff Wisialowski's RBI single and Marty Ordinans's two-run double, and Danny Weymier pitched the final three innings without allowing a run, but it was not enough.

"We just had too many missed opportunities," said Whitnall coach Brian Johnsen, whose team lost four of its last five games.
