Falcons Lose Two Nonconference Contests

The Whitnall baseball team could not hold a 2-0 lead and lost at Menomonee Falls, 6-3, Friday afternoon.

The Falcons took their lead on RBI hits from Ian Ray and Ian Hushek.

Josh Serio allowed two runs in four innings with six strikeouts, but the Indians scored four times in the bottom of the sixth.

Later Friday, Whitnall allowed four runs in the third inning and that was all host Cedarburg needed in the Falcons' 4-3 road loss that dropped them to 9-5 overall.

Whitnall made it close with three runs in the fifth on Geoff Wisialowski's RBI single and Marty Ordinans's two-run double, and Danny Weymier pitched the final three innings without allowing a run, but it was not enough.

"We just had too many missed opportunities," said Whitnall coach Brian Johnsen, whose team lost four of its last five games.
