Family Campout At Konkel Park In August: Greenfield Parks And Rec
Get your tent, sleeping bag and other gear together. A family campout is planned for August in Konkel Park.

GREENFIELD, WI — Looking for a spot to camp around Greenfield? For one night, families will be able to campout in Konkel Park. The Family Campout is scheduled for August 21-22, according to the Greenfield Department of Parks and Recreation website.
The event will give families a chance to spend a night in the local public park with events and a showing of Toy Story 4, according to the Department website. Camping gear is not provided — The department website says to bring a tent, sleeping bags, camp chairs, flashlights, lanterns, toiletries, bug spray and anything else one may need for a solid night of camping.
The Department website said restrooms will be available nearby, though, so no need to dig any cat holes in Konkel Park. Carry-in food and beverage is welcome as well, the website said.

Games and activities will be available alongside the movie, facilitated by Boy Scout Troop 579, the website said. The Department website said an exact itinerary for the campout will be posted one week ahead of the event.
Registration is required for the event before August 13. The event costs $20 for a family of five, and an extra $5 for each additional participant, the registration page said.
