Four Local Teams Have Seasons Come to an End Thursday

Neither soccer team is able to advance past the regional semifinal round.

Three Whitnall teams and one squad from Greenfield wrapped up their seasons in WIAA postseason action Thursday.

Whitnall senior Alex Dundas, , lost his only match, 6-1, 6-1, to Arrowhead's Brian Barry.

The Whitnall soccer team, which had its record-setting season profiled by Greenfield NOW this week, finished 14-7-1 when it lost, 2-1, at Kettle Moraine in a WIAA regional semifinal match. The host team scored in the 69th minute to snap a 1-1 tie.

The Greenfield soccer team finished without a win this season when it suffered a 10-0 loss to top-seeded Waukesha West in a regional semifinal. The Hustlin' Hawks were 0-17-2 this spring.

Finally, the Whitnall softball team concluded its season with a 12-4 loss at second-seeded Watertown. The Falcons finished 12-8.
