Free Brats: Two Milwaukee County Beer Gardens Open Wednesday

MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — Two traveling beer gardens open Wednesday as Juneau Park and Greenfield Park welcome visitors at 5 p.m.

Juneau Park - Juneau Ave & Prospect Place, Milwaukee
Greenfield Park - picnic area 3a, 124th & Lincoln Ave, West Allis

What are the Traveling Beer Gardens? The Traveling Beer Gardens are two, simultaneously running, tours traveling through Milwaukee County Parks between May and September.

Juneau Park Festivities:

WHAT: The 2018 Traveling Beer Garden season begins with a keg tapping at Juneau Park with free beer until the keg runs dry. To celebrate the new partnership with Klement's Sausage, 200 Klement's brats will also be given away.
WHEN: Wednesday, May 16, 5 p.m.
WHERE: Juneau Park, Juneau Ave & Prospect Place

• A keg tapping and brat giveaway will also take place at Greenfield Park on May 16 at 5pm
• The Traveling Beer gardens are operated by Milwaukee County Parks and profits go back to parks.
• In 2017 beer gardens generated over $1.5million in revenue for parks.
• Sprecher Brewery is the exclusive beer partner for the Traveling Beer Gardens
• New for 2018, beer gardeners will now be able to use credit cards and debit cards and beer garden gift cards will be available.
• New for 2018, the Iron Grate BBQ food truck will stop at the beer garden on 55 dates, including five Whole Hhog nights (pig roasts)
• New for 2018, beer gardeners will be able to buy an Oak Leaf Flight - 5oz samples of all 12 craft beers on the Sprecher fire truck.
• The Traveling Beer Garden is supported by Radio Milwaukee, Sprecher Brewery, Klement's Sausage and Travel Wisconsin.
