Gas Prices Jump in Milwaukee Area - Find Out How Much

Your price at the pump climbed this week, according to AAA.

Paying a little bit more at the pump recently?

According to a report by News/Talk radioΒ WSAU, the latest survey of gas stations by Triple-A Wisconsin finds the average up by 8-cents a gallon in the past week to $2.10. That’s a-penny lower than the national average.

Last year at this time, Wisconsin drivers were paying $2.39 per gallon.

According to the article, crude oil prices have bumped up in recent weeks to $41 a barrel. But those prices failed to hold that level after OPEC talks on limiting supplies broke off without an agreement over the weekend.

Prices also tend to rise in the spring because of higher demand and refineries are switching over to more-expensive summer blends of gasoline.

The cheapest gas in the Milwaukee area Tuesday afternoon came in at $2.04 per gallon at the Grange Petro Mart, 1313 W Grange Ave. and Skyline Gas station, 5518 S 13th St. Both stations are located on Milwaukee's south side.
