Greenfield High School Debuts Online Spring Art Show
The online gallery showcases artwork completed by high school students in the spring of 2021.
GREENFIELD, WI — Art students at Greenfield High School are debuting their completed spring work in an online gallery that the public can view.
Works include sculptures, paintings, drawings, photography and computer graphics work that students completed over the spring semester. The online gallery comes in place of an in-person art show, but it still provides opportunities to interact with the artists through a response form.

"The return to face-to-face teaching was a welcome change from virtual teaching. But it brought along the rust, everything seemed to be a bit more difficult for students and they moved a bit slower," Art Teacher Jeremy Chupp wrote in the sculpture gallery.

"It was tough but students, for the most part, were able to dig deep and found a way to make it happen," Chupp continued.
Much of the work includes a brief outline by the student artist about their inspirations and motivations with a piece. AP course students, the highest level art courses available to high school students, have their final portfolios displayed in the gallery.

AP courses provide an opportunity to earn college credit in high school courses. Students submit a final portfolio of work that the College Board then grades. A score is given, denoting how much college credit the student can receive.
The online gallery also hosts students' work from introductory and mid-level art courses. Pastels, paint, photography and more are displayed in the online gallery. Although in-person interaction with the artists is not possible, gallery-goers can ask the artists questions through a form at the bottom of each gallery page.
