Greenfield: Man Shoots Gun Toward Child Over Fireworks
The suspect first told officers he shot a firework off in the direction of the juvenile.

GREENFIELD -- Police say a 45-year-old Greenfield man could be charged after firing a .40-caliber pistol toward a youth who was shooting off fireworks Saturday night.
According to a report by the Journal Sentinel today, the child called police to the 3900 block of S. 84th St. about 10 p.m. Saturdaywith complaints that a neighbor came to the balcony and fired a gun toward him, police said in a news release Sunday.
Greenfield police said that officers were able to make contact with an individual in the neighboring apartment building. The suspect, a 45 year old Greenfield man, first told officers he shot a firework off in the direction of the juvenile.

The suspect then admitted that he fired his .40 cal pistol out of anger. Police recovered the pistol and magazine from the man's apartment.
The man told officers that he was upset as his neighbor was continually shooting off fireworks.
The suspect was arrested for Recklessly Endangering Safety and taken to the Criminal Justice Facility. The case has been referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for charging.
