Greenfield Police To Offer Steering Wheel Locks For Kia, Hyundai
Those who own a Kia or Hyundai may already know that they are a target for thieves. Greenfield PD is offering steering wheel locks to help.

GREENFIELD, WI — Car-maker Hyundai recently partnered with the Greenfield Police Department to provide residents with steering wheel locks as a way to prevent vehicle theft.
Kia and Hyundai models have both fallen victim to thieves this year. The vehicles are often not equipped with an engine immobilizer, Greenfield Police Department wrote, and those with a shank-style key can be easy prey for a thief. That's where steering wheel locks come into play.
The devices are meant to lock onto a car's steering wheel, more or less immobilizing the vehicle and preventing theft. The Greenfield Police Department recieved 200 of such devices that will be handed out to residents, especially those with a Kia or Hyundai.
