Greenfield Representative Among the 'Democratic 14'

Tim Carpenter, along with 13 other Democratic Senators, left Wisconsin last week to avoid voting on Gov. Scott Walker's budget-repair bill.

Democrat Tim Carpenter, who represents Greenfield in the state Senate, is among those Senate Democrats who have boycotted a vote on Gov. Scott Walker’s budget-repair bill and have avoided Madison for six days.

Carpenter, of Milwaukee, is one of 14 senators who left Wisconsin for Illinois last Thursday to delay the passage of Walker’s bill. The bill, the massive protests at the state capitol and around Wisconsin and the Democratic senators’ decision to leave the state have drawn much national attention and scrutiny.

Carpenter is not on a list of eight Democratic senators who are subject to the recall.
