Greenfield Resident Promoted by Alverno College
Annual promotion ceremony honors faculty

Alex Blom has been promoted to associate professor of Physical Science at Alverno College. Blom, a Greenfield resident, has worked at Alverno since 2009 teaching several different classes including physical chemistry, chemistry of bio-organic molecules, instrumental analysis, chemistry of inorganic materials and integrated science. Over the course of the last two years, he has also led several grant-funded research projects. Blom earned his Ph.D. from Iowa State University. He was honored at a promotion ceremony on May 25.
