Greenfield School District Rehires Retired Teachers
The process is both financially and educationally beneficial, according to the district.

According to a story by Greenfield NOW, the saved nearly $16,000 per position when it decided to rehire three retired teachers before this school year.
More than 350 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel readers commented on a story the publication did on the rehiring of retired teachers earlier this month, some in favor of and some against the practice.
And to address concerns or complaints raised by critics of the manuver, the district released this press release last week, which outlines the financial benefit to the district in addition to explaining the district's hiring process.
