GREENFIELD, WI -- It's not happening until after the holidays, but Target Corp. announced it's closing its store near S. 27th St. and W. Layton Ave. in Greenfield.
The Target, which is located at 4777 S. 27th St. will stay open through Feb. 2. About 130 part-and full-time employees there will be offered jobs at other Target stores. For employees who don't take the jobs, they will receive severance based on their service time with the company, according to Target officials.
The Greenfield Target is about 130,000 square feet and occupies 12.9 acres of land. The property, valued at just over $7 million, will go up for sale next year.
