Greenfield, Whitnall Tennis Players Survive Subsectional
Seven Hawks, two Falcons will play in Thursday's sectional tournaments.

Seven Greenfield Hustlin’ Hawks managed to advance to their own WIAA sectional on Thursday by winning the necessary number of matches in a subsectional on Tuesday.
The Hawks advanced in every flight except first singles and third doubles.
At second, third and fourth singles, senior Connor Lewandowski (16-7 record), senior Adal Chohan (17-5) and junior Peter Eidsmoe (19-5) all moved on.

Two doubles teams also advanced: seniors Patrick Stemo and Austin Jacobsen (13-8) at first doubles and seniors Jordan Tian and Zach Stelse (11-10) at second.
Meanwhile at the Greendale Subsectional, Whitnall managed to advance two players to the Greendale Sectional: senior Alex Dundas (11-6) at first singles and sophomore Andrew Dundas (13-2) at second singles.

The Greenfield Sectional is at 8:30 a.m. Thursday. The Greendale Sectional is 9 a.m. that same day.
The top four flight finishers at first singles and doubles and the top finisher at second singles and doubles automatically advance to state. A selection committee also selects a number of special qualifiers for the state tournament.
